This LULC (Land use and land cover) project involves Pre-Processing like downloading the input images by using CG Util software. Then it involves capturing of the LULC Features like Settlements, Roads, Railway lines, Water Bodies, Industrials and commercials, Parks and Golf courses, Construction and dumping sites in Quantum GIS/ Global Mapper Software at 6M and 15M Resolution.
Then we have to consider that particular shape files and rectify the errors and assign the attributes to each and every individual layers or features.
Hence our Remote Sensing team has to assign color codes of each and every features in ERDAS application, then after the file will be delivered to clients in .IMG Format.
PROJECT #2 :
Project Name : Afghanistan 20M LULC
Role : RS Analyst
Software Environment : Quantum GIS 1.7.0, Global Mapper, Google Earth, CG Util.
Organization : Annova Technologies Pvt.Ltd.
Project Description :
This project involves Digitizing of the maps means capturing vector layers like Settlements, Roads, Railway lines, Water Bodies, Industrials and commercials, Parks and Golf courses, Construction and dumping sites in Quantum GIS Using Raster images at 20m resolution. Then it involves relief correction with respect to some reference land sat images.
After capturing the vector layers, then we have to prepare Base Layer Preparation which involves Supervised and Un-Supervised classification in ERDAS application software. Then involves Re-Coding of that classified image and after the file will be delivered to clients in .IMG Format.
