National Rainfed Area Authority (NRAA) was established by Government of India on 3rd November, 2006 to provide much needed knowledge inputs regarding systematic upgradation and management of country’s dryland and rainfed agriculture. NRAA is an advisory, policy making and monitoring body charged with the role of examining guidelines in various existing schemes and in the formation of new schemes. It shall bring about convergence and synergy among the numerous ongoing programmes and shall advise, guide and monitor their progress. The Authority is a two tier structure. The authority is headed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the rank of Secretary to the Govt. of India who is supported by five technical Experts in the rank of Additional Secretary or Joint Secretary to the Govt. of India. As per the Business allocation, NRAA has been relocated from Department of Agriculture & Cooperation to Planning Commission.

2. A post of Technical Expert (Forestry) is required to be filled up. In order to ensure the widest possible choice, it was decided that a cross section of Departments, Organisations and Authorities should be approached to seek nomination of candidates for the post. Accordingly it is requested that you may kindly send nominations together with biodata and other information for the post of Technical Expert (Forestry).

1. The requirement for the post of Technical Expert (Forestry) (Pay band Rs. 67000 – 79000 HAG/ or Rs.37400 – 67000 plus Grade Pay Rs.10000) is as under :

Age : - The candidate should hold the office for a term of five years or up to the age of 65 years whichever is earlier. Those candidates, who are less than 60 years of age as on 15 July, 2011 may be given preference.

Academic Qualification : Minimum M.Sc. in the field of Forestry, agro-forestry with good academic records. Higher qualification, such as, Ph.D with good grades and added qualifications will be preferred.

Experience : The candidate should have at least ten years field/research experience in a senior position in the field of Forestry including generation and management of bio-mass.

Project details : - This paper presents a single-phase bidirectional hybrid rectifier topology for power
factor correction (PFC) suitable for medium and high power applications. The topology is composed of a diode bridge rectifier and a boost type PWM rectifier. Using appropriate control technique the total power can be shared between two Rectifiers.

- Has conceptualize and conceived the project under NAIP, ICAR a world Bank supported project under SLS component-3. The project envisages various agricultural& forestry interventions, processing, community mobilization and upscaling of JFMCs to SMFE at Godda Forest range Jharkhand.
- Has been Nodal officer of Caring Finance project for various agricultural interventions for 101 distressed farmers of Jalgaon and Nandurbar district of Maharashtra. Altogether 77 Lakhs has been raised from LetzDream Foundation a corporate social responsibility.
