    Job profile     :Apply standard program analysis and verification techniques to evaluate code and design quality, and identify improvement opportunities.

    Propose and participate in research and development work to improve upon existing methods for detecting code, design, and functionality related issues using program analysis / verification, and related software engineering practices.The job responsibilities of a technical expert (programming languages and software engineering principles) include     :Providing technical assistance in assessing current state of problems faced by Siemens business units, and devising effective solutions and / or improvement strategies, related to one or more of: design, coding, verification and Refactoring of software and systems.Participating in research activities to simplify identification of issues in design and code, using techniques of program analysis and verification

    Qualifications     :Masters or doctoral degree in Computer Science.

    Experience     :7-10 yrs of experience with atleast around four years of development experience in large software development projects; alternately, research experience in the areas mentioned.

    Other requirements     :
    ** Expertise in one or more languages, such as C#, C++, and Java.
    ** Sound knowledge of aspects related to static / dynamic code analysis, compilation and verification techniques. Knowledge of issues related to software design / Best Practices in programming.
    ** Reasonable experience of working with (COTS) static code analyzers.
    ** Hands on knowledge in programming and related software engineering practices.
    ** Background in one or more of static code analysis, compilation, verification, refactoring-
    ** Knowledge of and experience with tools for static / dynamic analysis and verification.
    ** Knowledge of programming practices that can have an impact on non- functional requirements such as Reliability, maintainability and Security. Understanding of multi-core software issues.
    ** Knowledge of one or more of the following is a plus. Compiler construction, or embedded software design, or static analysis techniques, or code reviews, or Refactoring.
