* Work closely with software development team on schema design, stored procedure implementation, and database standards
* Monitor performance of SQL server using Profiler and other tools.
* Design, implement, and manage redundancy and contingency technologies for maximum availability
* Work with product, development, and network teams on upgrades to the databases.
* Provide administration support on the databases.

The Senior Oracle DBA will work in our Data Services group and must be able to perform the following functions:
Manage database design, creation and configuration, space management and other database maintenance and administration procedures in multiple production and development environments. Design and manage backup and recovery procedures .

Manage database user and security administration . Handle advanced performance and application tuning for both OLTP and Data warehouse. Coordinate research, planning and implementation of databases and application patches and fixes. Plan, design, test and implement upgrades for the Databases. Facilitate root cause analysis on problems where appropriate, and identify action items/recommendations to address issues. Maintain documentation and coding standards, lessons learned, best practices, and quality improvement documentation. Work closely with the development staff on all issues related to the Oracle Databases . Responsible for 24*7 production support on a rotation basis for all oracle databases. Technical skills must include hands-on experience with RAC, database backup and recovery, upgrades to 10g, implementation and maintenacne of 10g Grid Control. Experience in an environment with differing storage approaches is highly desirable. Experience with 11g upgrades is a plus
