    Department of Revenue Recruitment 2011 : Library & Information Assistant

    Name of the Organization : Department of Revenue

    Applications are invited for filling up the following posts :

    Poat : Library & Information Assistant

    Number of Positions : 02 (Two)

    Pay Scale : Pay Band (PB-2) of Rs.9300-34800/- + Grade Pay of Rs.4200/-

    Educational Qualification :
    1. Degree of a recognized university or equivalent.
    2. Degree or equivalent diploma in Library Science of a recognized University/Institution.
    3. Should have studied Hindi at least upto Higg School level either as a medium of instruction or as a compulsory or optional subject.

    Desirable : One year experience in Library work.

    Period of Deputation : The Period of deputation will intially be for 3 years.

    The Department of Revenue functions under the overall direction and control of the Secretary (Revenue). It exercises control in respect of matters relating to all the Direct and Indirect Union Taxes through two statutory Boards namely, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC). Each Board is headed by a Chairman who is also ex-officio Special Secretary to the Government of India.
