Advertisement for Empanelment at Solar Energy Centre under Visitors’ Programme for the positions of Project Fellow, Research Associate and Consultant.
Solar Energy Centre (SEC) is a research and technology evaluation facility of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. The R&D campus of SEC is located at the 19th Milestone of Gurgaon-Faridabad Road, Gwalpahri, Gurgaon, just on the southern border of Delhi metropolis. The Centre works on development of solar energy technologies and practices, and contributes in advancement of related science and engineering. Under its Visitors’ Programme, SEC invites applications from suitable candidates for empanelment for the positions of Project Fellows, Research Associates and Consultants. The details including the proforma for submission of application can be obtained in the Ministry’s website www.mnre.gov.in . Application must be sent within 21 days (or 35 days as applicable ) of publication of this advertisement in the Employment News.

1. Interested eligible candidates may send their application in the prescribed pro-forma along with two self addressed envelopes of 12x25 cms Speed Post/Registered Post of Indian Postal Department only (application sent through private courier service or by hand will not be accepted) along with Synopsis/research idea applicant wants to purse at SEC during his Associateship/project fellowship within 21 days of publication of this advertisement in the Employment News at the following address :

For the candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul, Spiti District and Pangi subdivision of Chamba district of Himanchal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep islands, the applications may be submitted within 35 days of the date of this advertisement in the Employment News.
2. The short listed candidates called for interview (wherever necessary) will be paid II class train fare from their place of residence to New Delhi by shortest route on production of train tickets traveled.
Note: Mere fulfillment of Educational Qualification will not entitle the candidate for being called for interview. The applications will be shortlisted based on educational qualifications, project work during college/university and statement of purpose/publications/synopsis. Incomplete application will be out-rightly rejected and no correspondence for that will be entertained.
3. The candidate must clearly indicate the name of the category applied on the top of the envelope, failing which the application will not be opened /considered.
4. Already employed candidates should forward their applications through proper channel.
5. The Fellowship/Associateship advertised above are purely temporary in nature and can be withdrawn at any time within the period mentioned against them. Also it may be noted that the award of fellowship in SEC is purely temporary for a fixed period, if not withdrawn earlier, and shall not bestow any claim or right for seeking regular employment in SEC or in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
