VACANCY CIRCULAR

Applications through proper channel are invited from Indian Nationals for appointment to the post of Director General of Civil Aviation in the scale of pay of PB – 4 ` 37400 – 67000 with Grade Pay ` 12,000 in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (Head Quarters), New Delhi on deputation basis.

2. The eligibility conditions as prescribed in the recruitment rules are given at Annexure A.
Note 1 :- The Departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion will not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly deputationist shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.
Note 2 :- Period of deputation, including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation/department of Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed five years.
Note 3 :- The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of the receipt of applications.

3. 3 copies of the Bio data in the prescribed proforma (Annexure B) of eligible and interested officers who could be spared may please be forwarded to the undersigned together with photocopies of upto date ACRs (duly attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary) within forty five days from the date of publication of this advertisement on the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar. (Applications received after the closing date or otherwise found incomplete will not be considered). While forwarding the applications, it should be verified and confirmed by the cadre controlling authority that the particulars furnished by the officer are correct and that no disciplinary/vigilance case is pending or contemplated against the officer.

4. Integrity certificate and a statement of major/minor penalties imposed, if any, during preceding 10 years should also be sent along with all the above documents.

2. Classification :General Central Service Group “A”, Gazetted,Non – Ministerial.

3. Eligibility Condition :-
1. Officers under Central Government including All India Service
(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; or
(ii) with three years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the scale of pay of PB 4 ` 37,400 – 67,000 + Grade Pay ` 10,000 or equivalent in the parent cadre/department.
(b) having experience as under
Twelve years of experience in Aviation/Flying/Aircraft Engineering /Airworthiness, out of which, a minimum of five years of experience should be in administration and finance disciplines at the Senior Management Level.
