Job Description
A(n) enterprise systems automations analyst whose responsibilities will include implementing and maintaining an integrated enterprise system to collect, correlate, and report faults, events, and performance trends from business processes and components. Ideal candidates will have expert level system administration skills and system monitoring and management software development experience. A broad understanding of Linux and Windows system administration, networking, storage, and, distributed systems environments will be required to be successful.. The ESAA will be a principal in Enterprise Automation projects which include the integration, reporting, alerting, utilization and availability using enterprise management tools against existing infrastructure and new automation utilities you create.


Desired Candidate Profile
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
** Manage the IT infrastructure for both system availability, system performance, and IT security
** Contribute to customization, configuration, upgrade and further integration of the Enterprise Automation and Management system specifically using Argent and Nagios, experience with other enterprise monitoring applications a + including Foglight, I3 and ability to create automated feature that support stability in our environment.
** Performance tuning of windows and linux products
** Develop the monitoring rule base, programs and scripts within Wintel and Linux environments
** Gather monitoring requirements from various IT groups including system support, development, Wintel, network, and database support groups, and with business application groups, to understand and prioritize their requirements for the effective implementation of monitoring solutions and to maximize the effectiveness of the monitoring environment
** Test and validate alerting mechanisms
** Provide trending reports and statistics to management
** Maintain a central reporting portal
** Ensure that remediation teams are properly notified of new alerts
** Provide monitoring requirements on all new systems, applications, databases, and networks being implemented
** Stay abreast of infrastructure and configuration changes in the environment
** Coordinate regular scans and audits for systems environment
** Interface with internal and external audit groups as well as risk management; coordinate remediation efforts of identified issues
Job Requirements
** Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP and SNMP version 3, OID Topology, Management Protocols, SNMP traps and triggering, ticketing and auto resolve
** 3-5 years experience in the installation, development, integration and maintenance of Enterprise Monitoring and Management applications
** Demonstrated success in the selection, installation, deployment and integration of an Enterprise Monitoring and Management platform supporting 3000 or more devices and integrated in best of breed functional point products.
** System administration and debugging experience on Windows and Linux platforms Windows.
** Network configuration and troubleshooting on large IP networks. DNS and DHCP administration experience a plus.
** Automation of common tasks with Perl, Python, shell scripts, VB script and batch files.
** Experience with software packaging (e.g. RPM, MSI, etc.) and software distribution.
** Basic administration of SQL databases. Crystal Reports is a plus
Application technologies including Argent, Nagios, Big Brother, BEA WebLogic, JBOSS, .NET framework, etc.
** Common internet protocols including HTTP, SSL, and SOAP/XML-RPC/Web Services
Some software development experience. Experience with Python or Java a plus.
** Ability to work with customer teams with outstanding verbal and written communication skills
** Strong technical leadership skills. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and persistence. Ability to understand strategic direction and target architecture.
** Ability to understand cross-platform distribution/migration processes, and to document, develop and implement more efficient and reliable procedures
