RECRUITMENT OF SCIENTISTS (GROUP IV STAFF)

The CSIR-CGCRI is the 4th oldest Research and Development (R&D) Laboratory under the CSIR, DSIR, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. CSIR-CGCRI is dedicated to achieving scientific leadership in the area of advanced ceramics and specialty glasses (including fibre/fibre-based devices). Major research activities of the Institute concerns : specialty glasses, specialized optical fibre, sol-gel processing of glass and ceramics, nano-structured glass and ceramics, engineering ceramics (both oxides and non-oxides), ceramics for bio-medical applications, ceramic membranes, advanced refractories, ceramic sensor, oxide fuel cells and batteries, traditional ceramics (white ware and red clay pottery) etc. Majority of the research projects are funded by government agencies, strategic sectors and private industries.

The institute invites applications from bonafide Indian citizens for the following positions :

A. Scientist Group IV(2) : 12 posts
UR (Unreserved) = 4,
OBC (Other Backward Class) = 5,
ST (Scheduled Tribe) = 3
Pay Band 3 (` 15600-39100/-) with Grade Pay ` 6600/- (Plus allowances as per rules of Central Govt.)
Age : Not exceeding 35 years as on 01.08.2011

B. Scientist Group IV(3) : 7 posts (No reservation)
Pay Band-3 (` 15600-39100/-) with Grade Pay ` 7600/- (Plus allowances as per rules of Central Govt.)
Age : Not exceeding 40 years as on 01.08.2011

C. Scientist Group IV(5) : 2 posts (No reservation)
Pay Band-4 (` 37400-67000/-) with Grade Pay ` 8900/- (Plus allowances as per rules of Central Govt.)
Age : Not exceeding 50 years as on 01.08.2011

The complete application in all respects, signed and accompanied with self- attested copies of the certificates/testimonials in support of age, educational qualifications, experience, caste certificate (for ST/OBC candidates) etc. mentioned in the application together with an application fee of ` 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of “CGCRI, Kolkata” payable at Kolkata preferably at SBI JU Branch Code No. 0093 should reach the Senior Controller of Administration, Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute, 196, Raja S. 1. SPACE-TIME CODED FOR OFDM SYSTEM - My project combine the space time coding and OFDM modulation processes to provide the future wideband multimedia wireless communication and to enhance the performance in terms of power and spectral efficiency.
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) has proven to be an effective technique while compensating the effect of a frequency-selective radio channel, since it transforms a frequency-selective channel into series of parallel flat-fading channels. Space-time coding (STC) on the other hand is a transmit diversity method that is capable of enhancing the system performance by exploiting the diversity in both space and time domains. The combination of OFDM and STC techniques seems to offer a very promising ground for the research targeted for high data-rate communication systems.
2. Design of Examination Portal :
- Role : Designer and Developer
- Duration : 4 months
- Client : Sri Kalahasteeswara Institute of Technology.
- Environment : Windows XP, PHP, HTML, Java script, XAMPP.
- Description : The Examination portal maintains and updates the attendance and Internal marks particulars of the Students. Logins are provided to students, parents, faculty, hod’s, Examination In-charges and Principal. Students can login and check their attendance and internal marks where the faculty is provided with the forms to update their corresponding subject attendance and Internal marks.

3. Design of Website www.ietetirupati.org :
- Role : Designer and Developer.
- Duration : 4 months.
- Client : IETE Tirupati Center.
- Environment : Windows XP, PHP, HTML, Java script, XAMPP.
- Description : The project is a website developed for the IETE Center, Tirupati to maintain the details and activities of the IETE Tirupati Center with the updated information. Also the website contains Online Registration for the conferences held thru IETE Tirupati.
- EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES :

- Participated in Robotics workshop conducted by “THINK LABS”.
- Was associated as a organizer in the organizing committee of
“DECATRA-2K10”, a college Level Technical Symposium.
