Advisor - Project Engineer Electrical :

Education : Degree in Electrical Engineering and additional qualifications in Project management preferred

Experience : Minimum 15 – 20 years of experience in Electrical Engineering / Electromechanical with work on high value projects over 50 million USD value. Candidate will have previous experience as a maintenance or process engineer at a gas plant, refinery or related petrochemical or LPG facility. Flexibility is key and the ability to adapt to new priorities and requirements is paramount.

Knowledge : The candidate would be expected to have a strong back ground and knowledge of all electrical , electromechanical and instrumentation components that would be required for a large infrastructure project

Job Summary and Key responsibilities :
1. Manage expansion and maintenance capital projects from initial concept development and costing through to detailed design, construction, commissioning and start up;
2. Monitor projects to ensure compliance with schedule and budget;
3. Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate engineering work as assigned;
4. Monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices,
5. Ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project participants and stakeholders;
6. Direct the activities of EPCM companies to develop and execute projects; and
7. Act as a technical resource for Project Manager

- Responsible for leading a team of Engineers. Job including fabrication of cable tray, Junction box installation, laying of all types of cables, Instrument installation and calibration, Impulse tubing, panel erection in existing and new fields.
- Preparation of documents required for construction activities like Cable schedule, installation standards, Instrument layout drawing, Control room sizing and layout etc.
- Review and approval of Detail Engineering and Documents for Procurement, Installation & Commissioning of field Instruments.

- Direct and Supervision of installation activities carried out of Instrument JBs, Cable Trays and installation of instruments
- Direct and supervision of cable pulling and impulse tubing’s.
- Co-ordination of Inspection activities with clients and consultants.
- Duties include approval of construction modifications, drawings and checking material quantities, types and suitability.
- In addition I have marked up as built, verified calibrations and loop checks and generally been solving installation / design problems throughout the site.
