The Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India has launched its e-Library Consortium from 1st January 2009. The aim of Consortium is to maximize access to large number of high impact journals by the Scientific Communities; NBRC who is currently coordinating for the DeLCON would like to recruit suitable person for the following :

Name of Post : Project Associate (DeLCON Consortium)

Emoluments : Rs. 23,000.00 P.M. Consolidated

Essential Qualification :
Post Graduate preferably in Library & Information Science from any Recognized University by the UGC, with minimum 1 Year Diploma In Computer Application.
Good Communication Skills in English with ability to draft official correspondence and notes effectively. Good working knowledge of computer operation such as MS Office etc.

Desirable : Knowledge of maintaining & managing digital library, ability to self correspondence and report preparation.

Experience : Minimum 3 years in related fields

Age Limitation : 35 years as on advertised dated (Relaxation as per Government of India norms for SC/ST and OBC candidates.

Note : Candidate may send a hard copy of application alongwith the attested copy of testimonials and a Demand Draft of Rs. 200.00 (Drawn in fovour of Director, NBRC, payable at Manesar, Gurgaon) should be send to the DeLCON Coordinator, NBRC. Only short listed candidates will be called for interview (Application fees is not applicable for SC, ST and Women Candidates).

General Conditions :
1. The appointment for the post is under DBT sponsored DeLCON Consortium Project presently functioning at NBRC but transferable to other centers as and when required.
2. The appointment for the above post will be made on contractual basis for a period of 1 year, which may be extended depend on the performance during this period and on need basis. The post will be co-terminus with the project.
3. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
4. Competent Authority can to relax the Age, Educational Qualifications and Experiences in case of exceptional candidate.
5. The post advertised shall be need based without any commitment for its filling and number of vacancies may vary.
6.
