Applications are invited for filling up the following temporary post at Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Nabi Bagh, Berasia Road, Bhopal-462 038 under the administrative control of Indian Council of Agricultural Research:
Name of the post : T-3 Sr. Mechanic Group- Workshop Staff including Engineering Workshop Staff/ Category-II
Pay Band/ Pay Scale and Grade Pay : PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 + Grade pay of Rs.2800
No. of vacancies : 01
Essential Qualification :- Bachelor’s degree/Three years diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR equivalent qualification from a recognised university.
General Instruction for candidates :-
Maximum Age Limit :- 18-30 yrs. Upper age limit relaxation upto 5 years for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, 3 years for Other backward class (OBC) candidate. There will be no age limit for ICAR employees.
The Crucial date for determining the age limit of candidate will be as on 01.01.2011.
Applications should be submitted in the prescribed proforma strictly typed/hand written. Candidates before applying for the post(s) must satisfy that they are eligible to apply and fulfil the criteria/ essential Qualification/Age etc. prescribed for the post(s) ATTESTED COPIES OF THE RELEVANT DOCUMENTS ARE TO BE ATTACHED WITH THE APPLICATION such as Educational qualification/Age/ Caste Certificates etc. If any information furnished by the candidates is found false at any stage his/her appointment will be cancelled.
Application form must accompany with a Bank Draft of Rs.500/- (SC/ST/Women candidates are exempted) drawn in favour of ICAR Unit, CIAE payable at Bhopal. No other means of payment i.e. IPO/ money orders will be accepted failing which the application will be rejected. The date of bank draft should not be prior to the date of issue of the advertisement and the same should be valid for a period of six months. Bank Drafts valid for three months will not be accepted. Candidate must write his/her name on the back side of the Bank Draft.
Name of the post for which applied must be clearly indicated on the envelope along with sender’s name and address. Application should be addressed to the Chief Administrative Officer, Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Nabibagh, Berasia Road, Bhopal-462 038
The last date for receipt of application is 30.6.2011 (For applicant posted in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshdweep, Micicoy and Admindevi Islands, States/Union Territories in the North-Eastern Regtion, Ladakh division of J & K State, Sikkim, Pangi. Dear Sir,
I was scanning the web this week and I have discovered your advertisement and I think it would be a very good company to work for. Your company it has many areas to work in and in many countries worldwide. I can adapt to different positions as needed by the company and in any part of the world. I have got some national and international leadership experience and I want to have more. My technical background is clearly articulated on my resume so I will use this cover letter to expand on my experience as a leader in the workplace.
I know how to lead engineers because I have worked with Mechanical and Electronic Engineers in a multidisciplinary team while I was preparing my final project to graduate from the Valladolid University. I also know every person is different and different people are motivated by different things. Some engineers are only interested in upward mobility, others just want a steady paycheck, and others just want to be exposed to the latest and greatest technologies. An effective leader recognizes what motivates his or her colleagues and incorporates this knowledge into an actionable plan.
Too often leadership only looks at the bottom line rather than the people responsible for the bottom line. If those people are properly nurtured, the bottom line should take care of itself. A motivated productive workforce ultimately leads to profitability.
Turnover is another issue that seems to get worse every year. Gone are the days when people worked with one company for 40 years. I know this is true since I am working with a person who has done it, and it is very interesting to hear what they have to say about their experience.
The Internet and the free market have created a climate that encourages Mechanical Engineers and every other kind of worker to chase the almighty dollar/euro. Fortunately, people are still loyal to other people, but they are rarely loyal to businesses. My team will be loyal to each other, which will ultimately lead money in the pockets of the stockholders.
I know I can be a good leader for your company.
