Qualification : Degree in Engineering preferably in Chemical with M.E. in Industrial Safety or PG Diploma in Industrial Safety awarded by Regional Labour Institute and recognized under Tamil Nadu Factory Rules 1950.
Age : Minimum 40 years as on 01/05/2011
Location : Mills at Kagithapuram, Karur District.
Experience : Minimum 15 years post qualification experience as on 01/05/2011 in an Industrial Organisation preferably in a continuous Process Industry like Pulp & Paper, Fertilizers, Petro-Chemical, Chloro Alkali etc. of which at least 8 years should have been in a responsible position in the Safety Department dealing with accident prevention, training of employees in Safety awareness and emergency preparedness, enforcing personal safety at work place, electrical installation and construction activities, safety practices in storage and handling of hazardous chemicals, compliance of statutory requirements stipulated in Factories Act and Factories Rules, explosives rules and gas cylinder rules, maintenance of records as per statutory requirements, accident reporting and analysis, liaison with Factory Inspectorate and other Statutory Authorities. Knowledge of Tamil is essential.

Experience : Should have minimum 10 years of post qualification experience as on 01/05/2011 in installation, testing and commissioning and / or maintenance of HT and LT equipments like motors, switch gears, transformers etc. in a large size Cement Plant, Pulp and Paper, Fertilizer, Refinery, Petrochemical or Metal Processing industries or Thermal Power Plant or in the design, manufacture and installation of electrical equipments in a large scale manufacturing industry or in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Company involved in installation of Electrical systems. Knowledge / Exposure in Distributed Control System (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) shall be an added advantage.
