He should have mainly with WATER / WASTE WATER experience in UK/ ASTARALIAN projects
The main duties of the Senior Mechanical Engineer include, but are not limited to :

- Technical delivery of projects, in a Lead Engineer capacity where required (depending on project category)
- Develop innovative technical solutions
- Interface and co-ordinate work with multi-disciplinary teams in the UK (e.g., civil, structural, electrical, and ICA)
- Interface with UK Project Managers in the UK on project technical, commercial and progress matters
- Support design management of projects and bids
- Encourage the promotion of, and compliance with, quality, safety and environmental systems
- Assist in the development, promotion and implementation of company technical strategies
- Act as mentor to less experienced team members
- Line management responsibility for assigned staff
- Ensure capture of key project and technical knowledge

Key Skills
1. Suitable degree in mechanical engineering, professional engineer status preferred
2. Water / wastewater experience (infrastructure projects)
3. Process plant / systems design and specification
4. Design, specification and sizing of Pumping plant and pumping stations
5. Fluid mechanics / system calculations
6. Hydraulics (beneficial but not essential)
7. Surge analysis / modelling (beneficial but not essential)
8. Piping and pipeline design
9. Piping stress analysis / modelling (beneficial but not essential)
10. P&ID development
11. Mechanical and piping GA’s (engineer’s input / delivery)
12. Material selection
