Requirement of Faculty – Assistant Professors

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Asia’s first Space University was established under the Department of Space in September 2007. IIST is presently offering 4-year B. Tech programmes in “Aerospace Engineering”, “Avionics” and “Physical Sciences”. Ph.D and M.Tech programmes have already commenced while Post-Doctoral Fellowship in specific areas of Space Science and Technology will be offered soon. IIST provides a vibrant and stimulating environment for research in almost all areas of Avionics, Aerospace, Physical Sciences and Basic Sciences. The Institute is setting up state-of-the-art facilities including high performance computing facilities to create the right researchambience. IIST will also have research collaborations and scientific exchanges with reputed national and international academic and research organisations.

Description : The Project provides Network Admin is to perform the
administration of machines in the LAN network from a single
point of control. It provides an easy way for the System
Administrator to maintain machines in the LAN network.
It provides various facilities like Network explorer, Network
screen display, control panel, registry editor, task manager,
user manager and some network utilities to check network
status. The project scope deals with different tools, that
helps to administer systems Networkly.

The tools involves:-
Network Explorer-explores files & folders in Network host,
Network Desktop-continuous monitoring of Network desktop activities, Network User Manager-performs users related activities in Network system,
Network Control-allows to perform Network tasks,
Task Manager-displays running processes,
Network Utilities- gives network related information.

Methodologies Used
System is based on Client-Server concept.
System has two main parts one is Client & another is Server.

Client- Client part, send a request for particular operation to the server & hang out for the reply.
Server- Server is waiting for client request, after identifying the request from client, it performs the requested operation & sends back the reply.

It uses MS WinSock control to perform Network operations.

To perform the Network operations client sends request to the server through windows socket at a specified port, server socket identifies the request at the port, performs requested task, & sends back the reply to the client port who initiated the request through the socket.

Testing Techniques Used
Testing is vital part of the SDLC. It is a process of executing a program with the intent of finding errors.
1. Unit Testing:- Tests each unit of System one by one.
2. Functional Testing:- Conducted to ensure the project functionality.
3. Integration Testing:- All units are tested together.

Contribution
System helps to administer the network machines from a single point of control.

My Role
My role was as a Project leader and developer for designing and developing this application.
