Advertisement Notice
Applications are invited on plain paper by the undersigned for the post of Research Associate (Library & Information Science) on contractual basis within 15 days from the date of publication of this advertisement. The qualifications and other details are given below :
Designation : Research Associate
No. of Posts : 1
Qualifications :
Ph.D (Lib. & Information Science) with First Division in Master Degree or M.L.I.Sc. with 60% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average with at least 2 years experience.
Desirable :
i. Familiarity with any international standards in Machine Readable Catalogue , Resource sharing protocol like Z 39.50 etc.
ii. Proficiency in spoken and written English
iii. Evidence of published work
Monthly Salary :
Rs.24000/- + HRA as applicable to the CCSHAU employees for Ph.D.
or
Rs.23000/- + HRA as applicable to the CCSHAU employees for M.Lib.I.Sc.
Applications may be sent to the University Librarian, Nehru Library, CCSHAU, Hisar- 125004. Applications received after due date will be outrightly rejected. The post is coterminus with the Project which will last on 31.03.2012. Upper age limit is 40 years for RAs & 35 years for SRFs with relaxation of 5 years for Women/SC/ST and 3 years for OBC Candidates. Those who are in service must apply through proper channel or bring “NOC” at the time of Interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University popularly known as HAU, is one of Asia's biggest agricultural universities, located at Hisar in the Indian state of Haryana. It is named after India's seventh Prime Minister, Choudhary Charan Singh. It is a leader in agricultural research in India and contributed significantly to Green Revolution and White Revolution in India in the 1960s and 70s. It has a very large campus and has several research centres throughout the state. It won the Indian Council of Agricultural Research's Award for the Best Institute in 1997.
