Applications are invited from qualified & eligible candidates for appointment to the Posts of DREDGER COMMANDER (CLASS-I) on regular basis
1. Scale of pay :
1. Rs.29100-54500 for Master Foreign Going holders.
2. Rs.24900-54500 for others
2. Number of vacancies : 4. ( S.C - 1, OBC – 1, UR-2 )
3. Qualification and experience : Certificate of competency as Master Foreign Going holder with experience as Chief Officer for at least 6 months OR Certificate of competency as Dredger Master Gr-I with 2 years experience on dredgers OR Certificate of competency as Master NCV with 2 years experience on dredgers OR Officers who held the post of Lt. Commander/Commander in the Executive branch of the Indian Navy with at least 7 years sea service.
4. Method of Recruitment : Promotion failing which by absoption/deputation failing both by direct recruitment. Promotion from the grade of Master Tugs with Master (NCV) with 3 years experience as Chief Officer or Mate (FG) with experience of 5 years.
5. Age limit : 45 years ( Relaxable as per Gov. rules)

Main propulsion Machinery

a) Refrigeration plant and AC plants (package/ central) of Indian, European and Russian origin such as York, Volta’s, Russian, kirloskar etc.
b) HP Air System
(i) HP Air Compressors, capacity not less than 200 bar, manufactured by firms like Elgi, Sulzer, Atlas Copco, baur etc.
(ii) Adroit in maintenance of pressure vessels and systems up to 400 bar.
Auxiliaries :-
i) Related auxiliary and other equipment such as motor /turbo driven pumps (reciprocating, centrifugal, lobe, geared etc.), Stablizers, Hydrolics, staring gear machinery, Cranes, Winches, Davits, Derricks, Boilers distilling plants, centrifugal separators etc.
FIRE FIGHTING& NBCD
a) Supervising, training & maintaining fixed and portable firefighting & damage control equipment and installations onboard ship. Supervising the fire fighting operation onboard ships and establishments.
b) Leading the safety cell to analyses the causes& reduce accidents, fire accidents and increase awareness towards maintenance of safe work conditions.
c) Conducting evacuation drill at random.
d) Possess knowledge of nuclear biological and chemical warfare and preventive actions for minimizing casualties. The individual can operate and monitor decontamination equipment of fixed as well as portable nature.
