Please find enclosed herewith a copy of the vacancy circular for the post of Legal Officer on deputation basis in the National Commission for Minorities. Application of the willing candidates may be forwarded to the Commission along with attested copies of ACR of last five years, vigilance clearance certificate through proper channel within 45 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News.
The appointment of the above post will be on deputation terms and on purely temporary basis initially for a period of one year which shall ordinarily not exceed three years. On appointment the pay of the official will be regulated in accordance with the M/o Personal, Public Grievances & Pensions, Deptt. of Personal & Trainings O. M. No. 2/29/91-Estt. (Pay-II) dated 5.1.1994 read with No. 2/8/97-Estt. (Pay-II) dated 11.3.1998.
Eligibility conditions, qualification and experience etc. required for the above posts are given in the Annexure-I.

Legal Officer (On deputation)
Officers of the Central/State Governments/PSU :
(i) Holding analogous post on regular basis; or
(ii) with 5 years regular service in posts in pay band of Rs.15600-39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- or equivalent or
(iii) with 8 years of regular service in the pay band of Rs.9300-34800/- with Grade Pay of Rs.4800/- or equivalent; and possessing the following qualifications and experience
Essential :
(i) Bachelor Degree in Law of a recognized university
(ii) Sufficient knowledge of Hindi
(iii) Five years experience of legal work
Desirable :
Experience in the fields of human rights violation matters and minority rights related issues.
(Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years.
The maximum limit for appointment by transfer on deputation including short term contract shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application).
