Qualification :

Essential :
1. At least first class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or first class Master’s Degree in Science in the relevant subject from a recognised university or equivalent with Experience / specialisation as mentioned against each item.
2. At least 15 years of relevant experience for Scientist ‘H’ , 10 years experience for Scientist ‘E’, 7 years for Scientist ‘D’ and 3 years for Scientist ‘C’.

Desirable :
(1) Knowledge of Chinese, French, Russian, German or Japanese foreign language.
(2) Candidate having Master of Tech / Doctorate degrees in relevant areas of specialization will be preferred.

RAC, the unique Recruitment and Assessment Centre of DRDO was set up on 23 July 1985 after getting exemption from the purview of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). It is situated at Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi. RAC has undertaken various recruitment programmes to induct about 1000 scientists each year in variety of scientific and engineering disciplines relevant to DRDO Laboratories and assessed the suitability of more than 1400 scientists for promotion to next higher grade through duly constituted Assessment Boards and more than 150 senior scientists have been assessed for their promotions through Peer Review System.

2009 Working as Project Engineer with Excellent Shipbuilders at Cochin Shipyard site and Kerala Shipping And Inland Navigation Corporation Ltd yard. Work nature involved supervising fabrication of structural part of Ship (Platform Supply Vessel) and 6 Ton Bollard Pull Tug for Kerala Ports Ltd. Reading drawing and supervising NDT requirements.
2008 Worked as Senior Production Engineer at Cochin Shipyard Ancillary Unit with BESL Infra Projects Ltd (formerly Bhageeratha), India. Work nature involved supervision of fabrication of various hull blocks of Platform Supply Vessel [Near Coastal Ship], interpreting drawing, monitoring and planning daily and monthly production, supervision of NDT requirements, coordinating the Radiographic Test clearance with Cochin Shipyard Ltd, monitor welding as per the WPS, quality assurance and preparation of bills on dispatch of ship hull blocks. Also worked as Site Management Representative fulfilling ISO standard requirements of DNV. [01/01/08 to 10/12/08]
