Recruitment of vacant positions

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for filling up the following post in the prescribed format, neatly typed on one side of the paper indicating on the envelope “Application for the post of Assistant Administrative Officer.

Assistant Administrative Officer : 01 (One) post (Un-reserved)

The post will be filled at CITH, Srinagar. However, the candidate appointed is liable to be transferred to any ICAR Institute/CITH Regional Station in India.

Pay scale : PB-2 (Rs. 9300-34800) with corresponding grade Pay of Rs. 4600/-

Age limit : 21 to 30 years (the upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per the Government of India rules. The upper age is also relaxable upto 45 years in case of serving regular employees of ICAR in the administrative (Ministerial category).

Essential qualification : Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university with working knowledge of computer.

Desirable :
(1) Experience of administrative work in Central or State Government Deptt./ Autonomous Bodies/ Public Sector Undertakings in Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/- or equivalent.
(2) MBA Degree.

General conditions :
1. The prescribed essential qualifications is minimum and enhanced qualification does not entitle candidate(s) to be called for written test/ interview. Where the number of applications received for a particular position in response to the advertisement is large and it is not convenient for the Institute to call all the candidates for interview, the Director, CITH, Srinagar reserves the right to hold a written exam for short listing candidates. The Institute may conduct the written exam/ skilled test/ interview either at CITH, Srinagar or in any suitable place. No TA/DA shall be admissible to any candidate for appearing in the said exam / interview.
2. Persons already in employment should route their application(s) through proper channel.
3. The posts are pensionable as per the new pension scheme. The service conditions are mutatis-mutandis as applicable to Central Govt. employees.
4. Applications should be submitted in the proforma appended strictly type written accompanied by latest pass-port size photograph, self attested and pasted on the form. Applicants are directed to submit one more copy of pass-port size photograph with the application.
5. Date for determining the age limit of candidates for the different posts shall be the last date of receipt of forms.
6. Candidates are necessarily required to enclose along with their applications self attested copies of (i) Matriculation certificate in support of Date of Birth (ii) Certificate for SC/ST/OBC (if any), strictly in the prescribed Govt. of India format and issued by the prescribed authority (iii) Certificate(s) in support of required educational and other essential qualifications.
7. Application fees in form of a valid Bank Draft for Rs. 200/-(non-refundable) in favour of ICAR-unit, CITH, Srinagar and payable at Srinagar (J&K), is required to be submitted with the application. Only SC/ST/women candidates are exempt from paying the fees.
8. Interested candidates should submit their application(s) in the prescribed proforma to the Director, Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture, Old Air Field, K.D. Farm, P.O Rangreth-190007, Srinagar (J&K) so as to reach the office within 21 days from the date of publication.
9. Applications received after the due date for any reason including postal delay will not be entertained. Incomplete applications(s) and those applications which do not contain required certificates/ documents or without requisite fees will be summarily rejected.
