    (An autonomous scientific / research organisation under the Department of
    Science and Technology, Government of India)
    Kalamboli (Highway), New Panvel, Navi Mumbai – 410 218.

    The Institute is looking for a suitable candidate for the temporary post of “Clerk / Typist”.

    1) Salary : Rs. 10,000/- p.m. (consolidated)

    2) Qualification required :

    Essential : Graduate in Arts, Commerce or Science with knowledge of computer operation, data processing etc.

    Desirable : Typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in English

    Maximum age : 27 years

    3) Period of appointment :
    Maximum period of eight months
    Interested candidates may apply on plain paper giving full details such as, name, date of birth, qualification, address for communication alongwith the copies of certificates / testimonials, so as to reach the Registrar by 30th May, 2011.

    The Indian Institute of Geomagnetism (IIG) today is a leading institute of the country actively engaged in basic and applied research in Geomagnetism and allied areas of Atmospheric and Space Physics, and Plasma Physics. It started out as a successor to the Colaba observatory, Set up in 1826, where the first regular magnetic observatory in the country was established in 1841.
