Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for filling up the following posts. Applications should reach the Director of the Institute at the above address within 21 days from date of publication of this advertisement giving full particulars including Name, Father’s Name, Address, Date of Birth, Qualifications, Experience, Telephone No., whether SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped/Ex-Serviceman and any other relevant information. The details of the posts are given below :

(1) Name of Post : Lady Supervisor
Age Limit : 45 Years
Pay : Pay Band – 5200-20200 Grade Pay - 2800
Essential Qualifications :
* Matriculation or equivalent.
* Certificate in nursing

(2) Inspector Braille Appliances – One (Reserved for Visually Handicapped & OBC)
Age Limit : 30 Years
Pay : Pay Band – 5200-20200 Grade Pay - 2400

Essential Qualifications :
* Matriculation or equivalent.
* Trade Certificate in light Engineering with 3 yrs experience in inspection/production of various components of Braille appliances.
* Should be well conversant with the use of go and no-go gauge, ring gauge and other instruments.
* Should be well versed in the use of all Braille appliances.
* Should have good knowledge of Braille.

(3) Name of Post : Stenographer - Two Posts (One reserved for OBC & One Unreserved)
Pay : Pay Band – 5200-20200 Grade Pay : 2400
Age Limit : 25 years
Essential Qualifications :-
* Matriculation or equivalent.
* Speed in shorthand (English) 100 words per minute.
* Speed in English Typing 40 words per minute.

(4) Name of Post : Proof Reader - Two Posts (Reserved for OBC & Visually Handicapped)
Pay : Pay Band – 5200-20200 Grade Pay : 2400
Age Limit : 35 years
Essential Qualifications :-
1.Graduate Degree from a recognized University
2.Knowledge of Standard English and Bharti Braille.
3. Good Knowledge of Braille in any recognized languages of the country in addition to Standard English and Bharati Braille.
4.English and Hindi as subjects at Intermediate level.
Desirable :
1. Two years experience in a Braille Pres

(5) Name of Post : Copy Holder - 2 Posts ( One reserved for SC & another for OBC)
Pay : Pay Band – 5200-20200 Grade Pay : 2400
Age Limit : 35 years
Essential Qualifications :-
1.Graduate Degree from a recognized University
2.Knowledge of Standard English and Bharti Braille.
3. Good Knowledge of one Regional Language. .
4.English and Hindi as subjects at Intermediate level.
Desirable :
Two years experience in a Braille Press

(6) Name of Post : LDC- Unreserved (One for one year only)
Age Limit : 25 Yrs.
Scale of Pay : 5200-20200 +1900 Grade Pay
Mode of Recruitment : By Direct Recruitment.
Essential Qualifications :-
a) Matriculation or an equivalent examination;
b) Typing speed 30 words per minute in English;.
c) Knowledge of Computer.

(7) Name of Post : Plumber (One reserved for OBC )
Scale of Pay : Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200 Grade Pay 1900
Age Limit : 30 years
Essential Qualifications :-
* VIII class passed.
* I.T.I. Certificate Relaxable in case of experienced hand for at least 7 years.
* Five years experience in the line.

GENERAL CONDITIONS :
* Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- (non refundable) drawn in favour of the Director, NIVH, payable at Dehradun must accompany with the application without which the application will not be considered. SC/ST, Physically Handicapped and Ex-Serviceman candidates are exempted from paying the above fee.
* Age Limit relaxable as per Govt. of India’s rules for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped and Ex-serviceman.
* Applications must invariably be accompanied with attested copies of certificates, degrees, mark sheets, testimonials in support of qualifications, age and experience without which application will not be considered.
* Eligible candidates serving Central/State Government, Public Sector undertaking, Autonomous bodies must send their applications through proper channel.
* The crucial date for determining the age limit will be the closing date of receipt of applications.
* The Director, NIVH Dehradun reserves the right to fill/not to fill the post without assigning any reason thereof.
