Supervise Project Trainee and coordinating the following projects-
Models to determine Antioxidant potential- Antioxidants stop the free radical formation or interrupt an oxidizing chain reaction and minimize the damage caused by the free radicals. Reduced exposure to free radicals and increased intake of antioxidant nutrients has the potential to reduce the risk of free radical-related health problems.
    1. DPPH radical scavenging activity – for total free radicals
    2. ORAC – for peroxyl radicals
    3. HORAC- for hydroxyl radical
Models for skin lightening : MITF activation ultimately results in increased tyrosinase expression and melanogenesis via tyrosinase gene activation.

Models to determine Anti ageing potential : Inconsiderate overstay of inflammation is associated with chronic diseases such as arthritis, heart diseases, atherosclerosis, Alzeimer’s disease, Type 2 diabetes etc. Inflammatory responses in the skin caused due to UV exposure, pollution etc., fasten the process of ageing. Anti inflammatory drugs counteract inflammation.
    1. Anti Hyaluronidase activity
    2. Anti Collagenase activity
    3. Anti Elastase activity
Models for anti cellulite : Cellulite results due to enhanced adipogenesis which results in the accumulation of chunks of adipocytes under the skin dermis. Cellulite control ultimately is due to the net reduction in adipose tissue.

    1. Worked in a project titled ’"MOLECULAR ELUCIDATION OF ANTITUMOR PROPERTIES OF BENZAMIDE RIBOSIDE AGAINST CERVICAL CANCER’ at Regional Cancer Center Trivandrum, Kerala as a part of MSc Biotechnology course under the guidance of Dr.M.Radhakrishna Pillai.
In this study, the anti tumor activity of Benzamide Riboside against cervical cancer, at the cellular and molecular level against the HPV infection in established cell lines(HeLa,). were analyzed. HeLa cells responded better to the lower concentrations of Benzamide Riboside as evidenced by TUNEL staining. Acridine orange/Ethidium bromide staining showed that Hela cells exhibit cell shrinkage or chromatin condensation at lower concentration. RT-PCR results showed that Benzamide Riboside induced growth inhibition in HPV- positive cervical carcinoma cells. This has an advantage more than the other cancer cells due to the additional anti viral activity, i.e. Benzamide Riboside-dependent down regulation of E6/E7 expression.
