A leading automobile giant is looking for Area Manager to take care of the sales of Spare parts.
Education - BE(Mechanical)+ MBA (Marketing)
Experience -2 to 5 years.
Location - Anywhere in india.
Job Responsibility-
- Achieve Sales targets in the respective territory in terms of after market retail sales, institutional sales, product range and total sales
- Facilitate demand generating activities like giving schemes, conducting mechanic Meets, Customer meets etc.
- Stock Planning of Spare Parts - Monitor and maintain concurrence between sales, spare parts inventory and order generation for channel partners (dealers/ distributors)
- Monitoring timely availability of finances and monitor and limit channel finance over dues.
- Timely Complaint handling (resolving payment issues, claim settlements etc.) for channel partners and customers.
- Market intelligence – Collection and analysis of Competitor data
- Explore new avenues to boost growth of sales of Spares and expansion of the network (distributors, retailers etc.)
- Training/ educating End customers – Retailers, Mechanics, Fleet Operator associations and channel partners about genuine spare Parts
- Organizing various training programs along with the service team/technical team for the mechanics.
- Formulating strategies & target setting for Dealers & Distributors.
- Implementation of Sales process & Service delivery process through Area Team for New Distributors/Dealerships in their respective Zones.
- Appointing new channel partners (distributors) ,assessment of new channel partners on the basis of the infrastructure, financial, market penetration & manpower requirements

PROJECT
RECONDITIONING OF DIESEL VEHICLE-
Collecting the parts from the scrapped vehicles, which are in working condition, and working on them to assemble them and combine new parts along with them to make a diesel vehicle(a jeep).This procedure included visiting the scrap yard and very carefully choosing the parts from the scrapped vehicles which can be put together by working on them to build the jeep. It took us extensive research and six months time to make ready the finished product.
ADVANTAGE OF THE PROJECT :
The core advantage of the project was to put forward the notion of economizing the whole procedure of building a vehicle where in there are so many parts in a vehicle which gets scrapped off in the junk yards however, with a bit of research and conditioning many useful parts of those cars can be put together in a way where in they are reutilized to form a new vehicle which saves not only time but ample money as well. This can really be beneficial to an economy like ours where in production cost is something that the manufacturing industry is still trying to come to terms with.
