Applications are invited for the post of Director of the Institute.

Name of Post : Director

Pay Scale : Rs. 37,400-67,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 8,900/- + Usual allowances

Age : Below 55 years

Period of Probation : One year

Tenure : Five Years.

Educational & other required Qualification : Doctorate Degree in History/ Social Sciences. Published research work of high merit related to any major Asian country in the field of History/ Social Sciences. At least ten years of teaching and research experience, including administrative experience in a responsible position for at least five years.

Desirable Qualification : Knowledge of Persian/ Turkic/ Thai/ Russian/ Indonesian language.
