Applications are invited for the Post of Associate Professor-cum-Sr. Scientist in following subjects under Agriculture Faculty on the prescribed form obtainable from the office of the undersigned by sending a non-refundable, A/C payee Demand Draft payable at State Bank of India, Sabour branch code no. 11805 for Rs. 450.00 (Rupees Four hundred fifty) only for General/BC/EBC/RCF and Rs. 150.00 (Rupees One hundred fifty) only for SC/ST candidates drawn in favour of Comptroller, Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour along with self addressed envelop of 27x19 cm size duly stamped with a postage of Rs. 27.00 (Rupees Twenty seven) only or in person from 10 : 30 A.M. to 05:00 P.M. on any working days. The application form can also be down-loadedfrom the website www.bausabour.org.in and a demand draft as indicated above must be enclosed along with application. The down-loaded application form without requisite fee (D.D. as stated above) will be rejected. A separate application with separate fee is required for each post. The application along with all relevant documents should reach the Officer-in-Charge (Recruitment), Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour-813210, Bhagalpur on and before 30.05.2011 up to 05:00 P.M. only through registered post / speed post. The in-service candidate should submit application through proper channel. However, they must submit advance copy with requisite fee within stipulated time.Note: Please write the Advt. No. and name of the post applied on top of the envelop.
1. Associate Professor-cum-Sr. Scientist : 96 Posts
Pay Scale : Rs. 15,600-39,100 + AGP 8,000
Essential Qualification :
(i) Good academic record with a Doctoral Degree in relevant Subject or equivalent published work. In addition to these, candidates who join from outside the University system, shall also possess at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with later grades O,A,B,C,D,E,F at the Master’s degree level.
(ii) 5 years of experience of teaching and / or research excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degree and has made some mark in areas of scholarship as evidenced by quality of publications, contribution to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS WILL BE SUPPLIED WITH THE APPLICATION FORM.

NOTE :
The University reserves the right to increase, decrease or withdraw any post, change the designation and pay scale and also not to fill up any post even after selection.
In no case application received after closing date will be considered. The original application form duly forwarded by parent office must reach to this office within a fortnight after closing date.
Higher starting salary may be considered for highly qualified and experienced persons on the recommendation of Selection Committee in special cases.

Bihar Agricultural College, Sabour is one of the Six Agricultural Colleges in established during 1906 to 1910. It has been a premier institution of Agricultural Education and Research in the country. It was established on 17th August 1908 as Bengal Provincial Agricultural College, Sabour, Bhagalpur. Bihar Agricultural College, Sabour started agriculture education in 1910 and continued with slow pace till 1923.
