mapped the molecular markers linked to ToLCNDV resistance gene which can be used in Marker assisted selection (MAS) for crop improvement. In addition, we have also investigated the possible involvement of siRNA pathway in plant tolerance against ToLCNDV. While doing this work, I have not only learnt the techniques involved in molecular biology and studying the kinetics but also the various biochemistry techniques. I have also worked on the physiological and biochemical changes during germination at
different temperatures both in embryo and cotyledons, during my M.Sc. tenure on the project entitled, “Effect of temperature on germination and antioxidant defense during germination in Chickpea cultivars”.
