Role : Design Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Currently leading a team size of four for which I am responsible for
- Design of Sheet metal frames.
- Design of Machined frames.
- Design of Edge frames of cut-outs.
- Creating Design definition.
- Weight reduction activities.
- Creating RSM (Relational skeleton Model)’s for Frames Stringer splice activities.
- Parametric RSM approach linked with Design Table.
- Involved in defining Relational Map of RSM (relational skeleton model) and DDM (Detail Design Model).
- Creating sheet metal models of frame using CATIA V5 (Aerospace sheet metal licence).
- Creating Machined frames using CATIA V5 (Part Body and Generative shape design licence)
- Creating frame splice for Sht-Sht, Sht-Machined Machined –Machined for both C-Section and I- Section Frames
- Creating Model based Drawings using Catia V5 (FTA licence) for Frames, Frame-splice and stringers.
- Concurrent approach to ensure design for manufacture & assembly.
- Design to confirm the fastening & assembly specs.
- Involved in defining fasteners criteria and approach for creation of fasteners
- Creating fastener RSMs at all the generic areas (Skin-Frames, Skin-stringers), stringer splice locations, and butt strap locations.
