Project Title : STUDY OF MUTUAL FUNDS & ITS RISK ANALYSIS
Company : ICICI PRUDENTIAL&MUTUAL FUND
Description : To understand the concept and working of mutual funds. To study the performance of the various mutual fund schemes and then identify the best risk adjusted performing fund.

METHODOLOGY FOLLOWED
The project is divided into two phases
Phase 1 -Collection of data (secondary data sources)-A major part of the study is based on secondary data The sources include books, journals, internet, company records and documents. It also includes visit to various AMCs to collect the facts that would help in studying the risk profile of different schemes of mutual funds.
Phase2 - Studying the risk profile of different mutual fund schemes from the available data by comparing their beta values.
In the study we have taken 10mid-cap funds for 1st year and we have compared their beta values with 1 year risk adjusted return. From the study we conclude that ICICI Prudential Discovery is the best fund among the studied funds since its risk adjusted return is the most, well above the benchmark and therefore it is a good investment option,Canara Robeco is the least performing fund in 1st year risk analysis.
