QuEST is conducting Walk in Interview on 16-Apr-2011 for fresher’s to be a part of Service Engineering group in Aero engines Domain.
Job Title: Walk in Interview for AME, Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineers-2010/2011 batches only
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational qualification: B.E./ M.Tech/M.E/AMaESI (Mech/Aero), AME (Mechanical Stream only)
Cut off: 60% and above in engineering semester average as on date.
Year of passing: 2010 and 2011 (awaiting results with 65% aggregate in last semesters) batches only.
Note: Candidates who have attended the interview at QuEST in last 6 months will not be considered.
Candidates shortlisted will be offered based on furnishing the Degree Certificate.
The job requires Support of in service fleet of Large Civil engines. The job involves working in a challenging environment and supporting Service Engineering group for a large Engine Manufacturer.
Typically Service Engineering is expected to support all engine operations and analyze on wing events to initiate changes and improve the reliability of the engine and time on wing. Service engineering is also responsible for reducing cost and maintenance time of the engine without compromising the reliability.

Title : “Improvement Of Quality Awareness Using Six Sigma Methodology For Achieving Higher CMMI Level”

The purpose of this project is twofold – to learn the procedures and processes of the Six Sigma methodology, and to apply these methodologies in a real - world application. The first component of this project consisted of a thorough literature review of Six Sigma through a detailed examination of books and case studies. The second component of this project is the application of the methodologies to a manufacturing line at kaynes technology, Mysore. To reduce the defect rate in its POWER FACTOR COIL (PFC) manufacturing lines. This manufacturing problem was approached by the principle DMAIC methodology of Six Sigma , with statistical tools such as cause and effect diagrams , bar graphs and control charts (U chart) used for analysis. The root cause is analysed and necessary recommendations are made to reduce the defect rate. Suggestion are given for the implementation and its control.
Role and Responsibility : To minimize the defects in power factor coils.

An exoskeleton is an external structural mechanism with joints and links corresponding to those of the human body. Exoskeleton robotic system is a feasible solution that can help people with locomotion difficulties walk again.
