Substation Monitoring &Controlling
The aim of the project is to monitor the voltage and current from the substation and avoiding the electrical appliances in low & high voltage-current conditions. An electrical substation is a subsidiary station where voltage is transformed from high to low or the reverse using transformers. This can be achieved by using micro controller, at the step down transformer, which detects the external faults (short circuit and open circuit faults).
Solid State On-Load Tap Changer
Transformer is a static device transfers electrical power from one circuit to another circuit equally. But by using this project we can get variable power on secondary side. High controllability advantages of power electronic switches led to their application in tap-changers of distribution transformers. Their application reduces maintenance and repair costs of tap-changers. This paper introduces a new solid-state on-load tap-changer topology that has many steps with fewer power electronic switches compared to those reported in the literature. This tap-changer is designed for an 800 kVA, 20 kV/400 V distribution transformers.

Characterization and Analysis of Contaminated Soil
Description : Aim of this project is to know the geotechnical properties of soil with adding water and
SilkDyeing Effluent which consist of chemical, organic, liquid concentrated substances.
Conventional design of foundation structures can often lead to distress / progressive failure if any change occurs in soil chemical environment due to changes in the behavior of soil even without change in the applied stress. Laboratory experiments are carried out to understand the consistency limits, compaction characteristics and unconfined compressive strength properties of soil. The test results of soil samples with distilled water as pore water was set. The soil samples mixed with acidic wastewater and alkaline wastewater for a short period of time was tested for atterberg limits, grain size distribution and specific gravity.
