Required Age : 25 – 30 Years

Job Description : To maintain and preserve the microbial culture bank .The candidate is responsible for development and implementation of protocols for long term preservation of microbial cultures, to ensure stability and security of the cultures preserved with the culture bank. To maintain the master culture stock of all microbial cultures and to issue the working stocks for the bench/pilot scale trials. The candidate is responsible for creation and maintenance of culture records and to support activities related to the procurement of cultures from the national and international culture collections, and the deposition of cultures to international depository authorities for the patent purposes. Candidate should have demonstrated expertise in preservation and maintenance of large number of microbial cultures including bacteria, yeast and fungi demonstrated through experience in culture collection centers or related projects. Ability to design culture databank and implement documentation of culture records for different types of microbes. The candidate should have a strong background in microbiology and knowledge of sterile techniques, strain purification, taxonomy, microscopy and other related skills.

Experience : 2-4 years
