TITLE : “INFLUENCE OF ELICITORS FOR THE REGULATION OF SECONDARY METABOLITES IN CAPSICUM FRUTESCENS”
Description : Elicitors from both biotic and abiotic sources were sprayed to the flowers and the Morphology of the fruit is recorded in each elicitor sprayed fruit.
The fruit is then collected for the study.
- The ascorbic acid content in each elicitor sprayed fruit was estimated.
- By Thin layer chromatography, Capsaicin content was determined in each elicitor sprayed fruit.
- Capsaicin content was analytically determined by High Performance Liquid Chromatography Techniques.
- Phenyl propanoid pathway was determined from each elicitor sprayed fruits by Spectrophotometric technique.
