Duties / Responsibilities
1. Plan, organize and execute experimental works as discussed with the Research Scientist
2. Record all observations, data and results
3. Assist Research Scientists in analyzing the results
4. Take observations in the green house for ploidy
5. Upkeep and maintain the Lab records
6. Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses
7. Provide support for the implementation of good laboratory practices
8. Assist in the order & maintenance of lab supplies
9. Assist in caring the lab equipments.
10. Provide instructions to Research Assistants in the preparation of lab reagents and media.
11. Maintain familiarity with current scientific literature and contributes to the process of a project within his or her scientific discipline.

Qualifications :
Educational Qualification Desired
1. Masters degree in Biotechnology/Botany/Plant sciences with minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in Plant tissue culture/ plant biotechnology Research Programs
2. A thorough understanding on the basics of developing Double haploids in any crop having hands on experience in plant tissue culture and molecular biology
3. Excellent organizational & inter-personal skills
4. Good communication skills and team work capabilities
5. Ability and motivation to learn new technologies
6. Basic computer knowledge is essential

Competencies and Experience Desired
Minimum two years of research /working experience in plant tissue culture, good verbal and written communication, data collection, statistical analysis skills. Ability to motivate, supervise and get along with others, work in a team and have a bent of mind to learn new things.
