I have submitted PhD in Hindi Translation (Expected February 2010) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. My current research work is on “Haribansh Rai Bachchan’s perception in his translation work”. I have an MPhil degree in Hindi Translation from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. I translated a poetry collection "A Summer of Tigers" (Cheeton Ki Fasale Garma) by Keki N. Daruwalla during my MPhil. I did Master of Art in Hindi Literature from the same university where I worked on literary achievements of “Suryakant Tripathi Nirala”. I finished my Bachelor of Arts with the subjects Hindi, Education and Ancient History from Ewing Christian College, Allahabad.

My first poetry "Mukaam" was published in Sarita magazine (Delhi Press) when I was just 14 years old. Later I explored different forms of literature like stories, plays, script writing. I have got many muktaks, poems, stories and letters published in various famous Hindi magazines such as Kadambini, Hans, Sarita, Mukta, Tarun Ghosh, Prastav, Mahakta Anchal, Gudiya, Saras Salil, Unnayan (Vol: 21, Special edition of Hindi poetry), Navneet etc. I have been active member of Parsona Natya Sansthan, Allahabad (1995 - 2000) and have been involved in acting and script writing for short plays. I have exhibited more than 100 oil paintings and sketch drawings in different famous exhibitions and won a few prizes in story and poetry writing competitions at college and university levels.

I have worked as Assistant Editor for "Muse of Murmer - Art and Poetry Collection 2008" published by Shaher Dilli and will continue to work for 2009 edition. I have been working as Editor-in-Chief for Argalaa (www.argalaa.org), a quarterly Hindi magazine. इस शोध-प्रबन्ध के अन्तर्गत भारत, ईरान, आयरलैण्ड, इंग्लैण्ड एवं रूस की अंतरभाषायी श्रेष्ठ कृतियों का हरिवंशराय बच्चन द्वारा हिन्दुस्तानी भाषा में रचे गए अनूद्य पाठ से तुलनात्मक अध्ययन भाषायी, सामाजिक, सांस्कृतिक, ऐतिहासिक एवं राजनीतिक स्तर पर किया गया है. इन कृतियों में मुख्यत: शामिल हैं - शेक्सपीयर के चार दु:खान्त नाटक - “ओथेलो”, “किंग लियर” एवं “मैकबेथ” एवं “हैमलेट” के अनुदित पाठ, “कलेक्टिव पोएम्स ऑफ़ डब्लू. बी. यीट्स” का अनूदित पाठ - “मरकत द्वीप का स्वर”, ईरानी संस्कृति में रची उमर ख़ैयाम की रुबाईयों का अंग्रेज़ी में फ़िटज़ेराल्ड द्वारा द्वितीयक भाषा की कृति “रुबाईयत उमर ख़ैयाम” का तृतीयक भाषा में अनूद्य पाठ - “ख़ैयाम की मधुशाला”, हिन्दुस्तानी राजनीति को उजागर करने वाली कृति “नेहरू : ए पॉलिटिकल बायोग्राफ़ी” का अनुवाद “नेहरू : राजनीतिक जीवनचरित”, भारतीय जनमानष के आध्यात्मिक एवं धार्मिक ग्रन्थ “श्रीमदभागवत गीता” का अनूदित पाठ “जनगीता” (अवधी), “नागरगीता” (खड़ी बोली), “ए बुक ऑफ़ रसन वर्स” एवं “मॉडर्न पोएम्स फ़्रॉम रसा” में संकलित कृतियों का अनूदित पाठ “चौंसठ रूसी कवितायें”. इसके अतिरिक्त देशज बोलियों में रची कृतियों का अनूदित पाठ “भाषा अपनी भाव पराये” से तुलनात्मक अध्ययन किया गया है. सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बिन्दु के रूप में बच्चन की अनुवाद सम्बन्धी धारणा, उपलब्धि सीमायें और मूल्यांकन के तहत अनूदित कृतियों का साहित्यिक सांस्कृतिक संरक्षण एवं वैश्विक धरातल पर विमर्श किया गया है. इन समूची कृतियों के अध्ययन हेतु बच्चन के व्यक्तित्व व कृतित्व के साथ उनकी सहजानुभूति, सन्तुलन का पर्यवेक्षण किया गया है.

एम. फ़िल. लघु-शोध प्रबंध

इस लघु-शोध प्रबन्ध में दो दृष्टियों से कार्य किया गया है. पहला - कविता में अनुवाद की समस्या एवं दूसरा - केकी एन. दारूवाला की “ए समर ऑफ़ टाईगर्स” का हिन्दी अनुवाद एवं कृति में निहित सांस्कृतिक एवं ऐतिहासिक चरित्रों का विश्लेषण. पहले बिन्दु के अन्तर्गत - वाह्य एवं आन्तरिक संरचना की समस्या, सांस्कृतिक शब्दों, शैली, बिम्बों एवं मुहावरों के अनुवाद की समस्या पर गहन अध्ययन किया गया है. दूसरे बिन्दु के अंतर्गत भाषा, काव्य-शिल्प के अंतर्गत - लय, स्वर, संगीत - कविता का मर्म, कविता का अस्तित्व, कविता का प्राण-तत्व- सम्वेदना, भाव, विचार आदि को मूल पाठ के समकक्ष अनूदित करने का ज़ोख़िम लिया गया है.

इस विषय के अन्तर्गत विस्तारपूर्वक सूर्यकांत त्रिपाठी ‘निराला’ के कथा साहित्य का मूल्यांकन किया गया है. तथा काव्य-सर्जना में निहित प्रगतिशीलता का अन्य समकालीन कवियों के साथ तुलनात्मक अध्ययन किया गया है. इसके अतिरिक्त निराला के कथा साहित्य में प्रतीकात्मक शैली, प्रयोग व नई कहानी की अन्तर्वस्तु में बिम्ब-प्रधान तत्वों का संक्षिप्त अध्ययन किया गया है.
