CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
A) Attended emergency duties during the Internal Medicine and Surgery rotations providing essential medi-care and treatment to admitted patients which included I.V. cannulations, I.V. & I.M. injections, Catheterizations, taking blood samples for various clinical tests etc. Performed scalp suturing during emergency surgery duty.
B) Attended the ICU ward during the anaesthesia duty and did basic clinical work such as ABG sampling, I.M skeletal muscle relaxant Injections, monitoring the machines, checking the vitals at regular intervals and also provided BVM resuscitation to the critical patients.
C) Assisted the caesarean section surgery in the Gynae O.T and did the skin suturing of the patients (Mattress sutures). Assisted in NV deliveries many time in the labour room. Performed contraction measurement and monitoring, took blood & vaginal samples, vitals measurement at regular intervals, I.V. cannulation and catheterization.
D) Observed and assisted in orthopedic surgeries during the Anesthesia and Orthopedics rotations in the Ortho O.T. Helped maintain General Anesthesia during Ortho surgery.
COMMUNITY WORK
A) Performed oral polio vaccination of children during the PULSE POLIO CAMPS organized in various regions of city PATIALA under the community medicine rotation.
B) Conducted a survey on incidence of hypertension and diabetes in people.
C) Also performed dietary surveys in various parts of Tripuri Town, Patiala & on the basis of calorie calculations and healthy habits educated those families about the methods to improve their dietary & health related practices.

1)About 1 yr work experience from Feb 2010 till December 2010 from at Hartej Hospital, AMRITSAR, PUNJAB, INDIA . As a medical officer there, I took patient histories, did their physicals, ordered lab tests, prescribed and transcribed drugs, and maintained the daily progress files of the patients containing their total records. I attended daily rounds and took the required clinical interventions on advice of the consultant physicians. I also used to educate my patients about the healthy lifestyle and habits for disease prevention as well as signs for early disease detection.
2) 3 month work experience at FORTIS ESCORTS MULTISPECIALITY HOSPITAL, AMRITSAR, PUNJAB, INDIA beginning Jan 2011 till March 2011. As resident medical officer here, I am assigned care and management of patients admitted under cardiology, nephrology, gastroenterology and urology specialties. Do basic process of history taking, physical examination, diagnosis, ordering tests, reading patient charts, prescription and transcription as ordered by the supervising physician of the concerned specialty. Conduct daily rounds with the consultant physician for monitoring the daily progress/regress and managing the same until the patient has been discharged in stable.
3) Working as Medical Officer at ESI Amritsar Zone Hospital, Pathankot since April 2011 where my duty is to diagnose the patient ailment after proper history and physical examination and prescribe drugs independently or after consultation from the specialist as and when required. We hold Health Camps each month on the scheduled days to bring about health awareness in people. 1 day in each week is kept for immunization and vaccination. I am working here till date.
