Accel was born in Chennai, India, in March 1991. Five engineers from the computer industry with extensive and varied expertise joined together to create a premier IT organization dedicated to providing world class products and services. Recognizing the increasing need for qualified IT professionals in the country, Accel set up Accel School of Computer Technology. The school was later renamed Accel IT Academy and is a division of Accel Transmatic Limited.
