EXPERIENCE :
Working as Jr.Engineer in Control and Instrumentation package & DDCMIS (Boiler and Turbine) for 1.2years since April 2010 to till now in M/S AUTOTRICAL associate with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited which was undertaken by National Thermal Power Corporation, Simhadri (1x500MW) stage-2 Unit-3 at Visakhapatnam.
Roles and Responsibilities :-
- Erection :- LIR, LIE, SG & TG DCS and charger panels, local JB’s, instruments at different areas of boiler & APH like gauges and transmitters, flame scanner, oil skids, DC starter boxes, battery bank (SG,TG), soot blower panels, Impulse pipeline, air line header at drum level, Instrument pipe line at boiler and turbine, transmitters and gauges (pressure, temperature, level and flow).
- Commissioning : - SG, TG DCS panel and charger panels, battery bank, FSSS SADC system, MDBFP, AB, CD, EF, GH,JK elevation light up with oil firing, control valves, stage 1 & 2 steam blowing, MOT room, CONTROL FLUID. GENERATOR RTD’s, Synchronization of plant on full load.
- Calibration : - pressure gauges & transmitters, temperature gauges & transmitters using HART communicator, thermocouples and RTD, I/P converter, control valves, Level transmitters, Flow meters, Limit switches.
- Cabling : - power cables for SG, TG charger panels and DCS panels, battery bank, remote cables for SG, TG control cables, field cables and cabling at APH, MDBFP, BCW, DMCW, BCW, LOPH, CEP, FD FAN and MOT,PA FAN,FD FAN,HP & IP control valve racks, SPEED racks, GOVERNING racks, CONTROL FLUID room, PROFIBUS,MILLS,FEEDER PANELS, Ammonia & hydrazine dosing plants.
Selecting control schemes, identifying appropriate control system and selecting instruments based on types of application. Managing the process measurement, control instrumentation and services to monitor record & optimize plant productions. Preparing Tray layouts, JB schedule, Cable schedule, interconnection detailing, ferruling details & protocols, loop checking. Understanding of P&ID, Process Flow Diagrams, Preparing Control Strategies and Control Logics. Designing and selecting field instruments, DCS, Flow Elements, Control Valves, Safety Valves, analyzers etc. Preparing erection documents, wiring schemes. Managing erection & pre-commissioning of entire Field instruments.Exposure to basic engineering & detailed engineering for control systems in Power plants. Knowledge of networking & communication protocols like Modbus, HART, Profibus, Foundation Field bus, Ethernet and fiber optics .Knowledge of IEC & ISA global engineering standards .

Hands-On-Experience with the Distributed Digital Control and Monitoring and Information System” by designing and implementing control logics for lube oil mechanism, monitoring and recording minimum-maximum values for an analog varying signal, testing for contact interrogation of the Input/output Modules and the study of the single element drum level control. The logic is implemented using the Distributed Digital Control System (DDCS using the Procontrol-P language).
- Project 2 : Design and Implementation of Reversible Watermarking using JPEG-2000 Image Compression Model.
- Key role : Team leader.
- Duration : 4 months.
- Software requirements : MATLAB 8.0.
- Hardware requirements : 128MB RAM (min), 256MB RAM (optimal), Pentium III/IV machines with 300 MHz or Higher.
- Description : With the result of advancement in today’s technology, digital content can be easily copied, modified, or distributed. Watermarking provides the solution to this problem. An efficient watermarking algorithm has been implemented using MAT LAB which uses the concept of difference expansion of high pass coefficient with watermark bits. This work was to find a reversible watermarking algorithm for JPEG-2000 standard for mainly medical and military applications, a (5,3) wavelet transform is used which is considered as lossless transform in the JPEG-2000 standard. In the algorithm, (5,3) Integer wavelet transformed high pass coefficients are difference expanded instead of Harr wavelet transformed coefficients in the Mark Tian’s algorithm. Maximum embedding capacity over 90000 bits is achieved for a 256x256 image.
