II) AS THE REYNOLD’S NUMBER (NRe) INCREASES, THE NUSSELT’S NUMBER (NNu) ALSO INCREASES BUT THE FRICTION FACTOR (f) GOES ON DECREASING..
III) FOR THE FULL LENGTH SCREW TAPE IT WAS OBSERVED THAT WHEN THE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFIENTS ARE VARIED, THE CORRESPONDING FRICTION FACTOR IS ALSO VARIED BUT THIS INCREASES IS AT THE COST OF INCREASED FRICTIONAL LOSSES.
IV) WHILE THE INSERTS ARE USED TO ENHANCE THE HEAT TRANSFER RATE, THEY ALSO BRING IN AN INCREASE IN THE PRESSURE DROP. WHEN THE PRESSURE INCREASES, THE PUMPING POWER COST ALSO INCREASES, THERBY INCREASING THE OPERATING COST.
