Responsibilities :
COMMISSIONING :
Involved in various commissioning CONTROL ROOM activities during commissioning phase such as
- Commissioning of Gas Turbines and its accessories
Loop checks of field instruments like pressure transmitters, Thermocouple, RTD, pneumatic valves etc...
- Air blowing of gas lines, Steam blowing of boiler steam lines, flushing of oil lines in gas turbine
- Commissioning of steam turbines and its accessories
OPERATION :
Currently working as a central control room Engineer involving in
Operation of entire power plant from control room.
- Monitoring the power output depending on the grid conditions / climatic conditions/process requirement, Ensuring all safety systems / interlocks are in line and healthy
- Handling of any fluctuations like grid disturbance / utility failure like failure of instrument air, cooling water etc., coordination with field operator.
- Operation of HRSG from control room - maintain the steam output / quality by operation of HRSG from DCS / BMS PLC and in coordination with HRSG field operator.
- Operation of diverter / guillotine dampers / supplementary firing depending on steam demand
- Monitoring the stack emissions like Sox, Nox, and O2 and adjust take corrective actions if required.
- Operation of Utilities like Instrument air system, gas conditioning system in coordination with field utility operator. Responsible for running the plant in optimum condition by going through the trends / reports of process parameters

1 Bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from P.S.R

Description :
SCADA is Supervisory and control system which is used to monitor and control the “power plant generator output variations”. SCADA represents a system which consists of a number of remote terminal units (RTU) collecting field data connected back to a master station via a communication system. SCADA systems operate with real-time data in order to carry out real-time optimization of various processes, which translates to more efficient, reliable and safer operations.
