Qualification :
Assistant Professor : One should have a Ph.D with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least three years' post-Ph.D. research / industrial/ teaching experience. Candidates not satisfying the experience requirement for direct recruitment as Assistant Professor may be considered for Tenure Track position as Assistant Professor (On Contract) which may be regularized as Assistant Professor (regular) depending upon the performance at the end of the period of contract by IIT Patna.
Associate Professor : One should have a Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of six years of teaching / research / industrial experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor/Senior Scientific Officer/Senior Design Engineer
Professor : One should have a Ph.D with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record and a minimum of ten years experience, of which at least four years should be at the level of Associate Professor in any of the following: IITs, IISc Bangalore, IIMs, NITIE Mumbai and IISERs or at an equivalent level in any such company or other Indian or foreign institution/institutions of comparable standards as may be so decided by the institute
Pay scale :
Assistant Professor : To be appointed in PB-3 (Rs.15, 600 - 39,100/-) with AGP of Rs. 8,000/- p.m. For direct recruits, minimum pay in the Pay Band to be fixed at Rs. 30,000/-.
Associate Professor : To be appointed in PB-4 (Rs.37,400 - 67,000/-) with AGP of Rs. 9,500/- p.m. For direct recruits, minimum pay in the Pay Band to be fixed at Rs. 42,800/-.
Professor : To be appointed in PB-4 (Rs.37, 400 - 67,000/-) with AGP of Rs. 10,500/- p.m. For direct recruits, minimum pay in the Pay Band to be fixed at Rs. 48,000/-.

Research interests and experience (maximum 150 words) :
The author is a practitioner of positive psychology. Research topics are usually based on positive psychology, educational psychology, counselling psychology and biopsychology. The author has counselled 400 clients successfully by applying transactional analysis neurolinguistic programming, positive psychotherapy, religious therapy and cognitive behaviour therapy. She has guided 91 projects for the past 20 years and she has 26 years of research experience. Most of the projects got first class at the university level. She has published seven articles and 2 posters in National Journals and seven international presented 25 papers AT INTERNATIONAL LEVEL. She has participated many state and National seminars and presented papers topics related to positive psychology educational psychology and value education.2 PhD candidates got their doctoral degrees under my supervision
