NATURE OF DUTIES :
In Neonatal ICU :
1. Care of pre mature babies, birth asphyxia, respiratory distress, low birth weight babies, congenital anomalies like, intestinal obstruction, hydrocephalus, oesophageal atresia and spina bifida.
2. To assess umbilical vein catheterization.
3. To insert IV canula, taking blood sample.
4. Taking care of ventilator babies.
5. Care of babies with peritoneal dialysis, jaundice and to assess during resuscitation.
6. Taking care of babies in phototherapy

Instruments :
1. Neonatal bear cub ventilator 750 PSV
2. Cardiac monitor
3. IV infusion pump
4. Syringe pump
5. Phototherapy
6. Pulse oximeter

In Medical & Surgical Ward :
1. Ensure the provision of high standard of quality serve to all patients.
2. Admission and discharge procedure, patient care plan, patient education and taking charge.
3. Perform professional nursing procedures and treatment as per orders of medical staff and in accordance with policies and procedure, e.g. Administration of medical and charting vital signs.
4. Assist medical staff in carrying out procedure in ward, e.g. Lumbar puncture, Liver Biopsy, Pleural Tapping and insertion of Jugular Vein Catheter.
5. IV cannulation of IV infusion, blood product administration, care of central lines, chemo port and PICC, nasal tube and continuous bladder drainage tube insertion, wound dressing.
6. Care of patient with tracheotomy and BIPAP machine.
7. Perform and assist Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation during emergency.
8. Care of patient with Myocardial Infarction, Congestive Heart failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Pulmonary Oedema.
9. Care of patient with temporary pacemaker implantation, post Coronary Angiogram, patient with Percutaneous Balloon Mitral Valvotomy and patient with chest tube.
10. Care of patient with DI disease e.g, Colitis, GI bleed, Acute Gastroenteritis. Care of patient post OGDS, Colonoscopy and ERCP.
11. Care of cancer patient undergoing Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy, Palliative care.
12. Care of patient with Nephrological disease such as renal failure patient on hemodylisis, teach patient to follow renal diet.
13. Giving care of Paediatric patients with febrile illness.AcuteGastroenteritis, Asthma, Pneumonia, Bronchitis, Convulsion, Kawasaki disease, Hand Foot Mouth disease.
14. Care of patient with multiple medical problems such as Diabetic Mellitus, Hypertension, Asthma, Meningitis, Systemic Lupus Erythema (SLE).
