Job Description
Accountabilities
Principal interface between the Engg Lab and the respective program Project Engg team
Overall management of the Engg Lab performance; including work quality, schedules, budgets and resource management related to test plans, procedures, set-ups, execution and reports
Build the Engineering Lab capability through effective hiring and training of engineers/technicians, definition of facility requirements, organization of lab equipment, oversight of power sources/distribution, and the development of test methods
Define the MITC capital test and lab equipment in conjunction with AG Test Manager
Primary accountability for the overall safety in the Engg Lab, including safety of all staff and visitors
Provide leadership and guidance to Lab Engineers and Lab Technicians working under his/her direction (expected subordinate range is 10 â 20 engineers/technicians)
Single point contact for test related estimates and proposals
Determine when the use of an outside laboratory is required, select the appropriate source and monitor the performance of the work
Desired Candidate Profile
10+ years experience in a testing environment
BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Well-practiced in environmental testing methods (e.g. DO-160)
Knowledge of test instrumentation and data acquisition (LabView required, dSpace a plus)
Experience in lab supervision (technician development and coordination, facility management, and safety procedures oversight)
Strong documentation skills in the generation of tests plans, procedures and reports

CPCS is divided into 4 subsystems - DPSM, SOP, ACP and MCP.

PROJECTS DURING PREVIOUS EMPLOYMENT
1. Up gradation of controlling and monitoring software for Nose Wheel Steering (NWS) system for aircraft.
Description: The Nose Wheel steering system is electrically signaled and hydraulically operated. A dual channel
processor-based controller is employed to control the operation of nose wheel steering functions.
Identical operational software is resident in both the channels.
Software was developed in ‘C’ language under DOS environment.
2. Development of Simulation software for Engine/Fuel Instrument (EFI).
EFI is an electronic unit, which is required to display the essential parameters of engine system to the pilot during Avionics system failure. The essential parameters shall be Compressor Rotor Speed (N2), Turbine Gas Temperature (TGT) and Nozzle area (A8) for the engine system.
The Software is developed in ‘C’ Language under DOS environment.
3. Electrical Power Generation System Testing at EPGS Rig
Involved in the pre installation tests of the electrical power sources. The units are tested whether; they supply
the required power to the loads during all operating conditions of the flight, body temperature, transients etc.
4. Electrical Load analysis of the Aircraft
Load analysis brings out analysis of both AC and DC loads under which the aircraft operates.
The program is written in “C” language based on the guidelines given by MIL-E-7016F and is used to finalize the
capacity of the system and also probable load requirement. Also future growth potential can be found out from
this analysis.
Design and prepare the Theoretical, Routing & Loom drawings of the Electrical & Avionics Systems.
Preparation Bonding check schedule for the aircraft. Instrument used for bonding tests BONDING TESTER-MEGGER BT 51 (THORN ENI U.K)
