Internships for 2011 Avyakta Research Labs

To expose our exclusive learning and creative environment to have a jump start in their career, we encourage Students to work with us. We are constantly looking for Interns to assist our labs in following areas

1. Web based Software Development - We are looking for students having familiarity with Java based web development. Knowledge of Advanced HTML, JavaScript (including OO Java Script),CSS, Java Web Frameworks such as Struts and or Spring (or other MVC frameworks) is required.

Education: BE/B.Tech or M.Tech, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology fields or MCA

2. Technology Research - We are looking for students who are willing to explore new cutting edge technologies. They would be working on building proof of concepts to demonstrate the use of the technology for our products. Some of the technologies that we are exploring include Android OS, Windows 7 Embedded, Expert Rule Engines (Drools), Natural Language Processing etc. Having familiarity in any of these technologies will be an added advantage. But, passion to learn and do would be the final deciding attribute.

Education: BE/B.Tech or M.Tech, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology fields or MCA

Duration of Internship at our labs ranges from a minimum of 3 months to a maximum 9 months, depending on the Student availability. Our Interns are expected to work normal business hours, 5 days a week. We offer a competitive pay package, including performance based cash awards.

- Conducted requirement analysis by studying and surveying the reservation system of various airline reservation agencies
- Designed a high level and detailed level model of the proposed airline reservation system
- Developed the airline reservation system using Java that enabled retrieval of information pertaining to the airlines meeting the requirements of the user, the seats available, tickets generation, confirmation, cancellation
Library Management System
- Conducted a feasibility study by identifying the origin of the information at different levels, the expectation of the users, analyzing the drawbacks of the existing (manual system)
- Designed and developed the library management system that enabled the receipt and issuance of books along with the student details, calculation of the fine based on the delay in number of days.
- In order to reduce the errors, the books and the students were given a particular unique id no. The main aim of the project is to get the correct information about a particular student and books available in the library
