Hyderabad Technology Center ,HTC is the engineering andtechnology hub for GE Energy and is located in HITEC City, Hyderabad. The Energy team at HTC is engaged in conceptual, preliminary & detailed designs of high end Power Generation, Controls, Transmission & Distribution systems using advanced tools & technologies. We also provide engineering support for existing products & systems. Job Description
Build Jenbacher Asia Engineering Team focussing on Controls and Software engineering development
Set up skill profile and structure of self suficient global engineering teams in engine component engineering, controls, software engineering and systems engineering
Integrate with Jenbacher Technology team globally with complementary skills
Manage regional NPI programs to adopt product specs to local markets
Manage ressources to optimise productivity
Integrate with Energy EED teams in HTC and others parts of the globe
Set up training & development program for team to enhance domain experience by leveraging bubble assignments
Establish global engineering processes to integrate with Austrian team and other global sites for EED and Jenbacher
Drive the SI & SII for the CoE collaborating with the CoE functional manager.
Drive the common initiatives like DMP, productivity, Quality, Lean six sigma across the all the teams and drive best practices sharing and leveraging opportunities.
Drive working with his team managerās consistent processes for career development, IDP, Salary planning across the CoE.
Lead the session C & D for the CoE.
Report on a regular basis to the HTC business leader on CoE Level metrics like Yield, DMP, Productivity, Lean Six sigma, Hiring (growth and retention), Training as well as engagement initiatives across the CoE
Represent the CoE in forums like HTC staff meetings, management reviews & operating reviews with the business leader.
Create a team atmosphere, which encourages team members to contribute and develop to their full potential.
Drive development and retention of talent, building a learning organization
and own the Technical depth assessment of the CoE.
Be involved in driving the DMP/innovation initiatives to inculcate a culture of creativity and innovation to fuel growth for the business
Seek opportunities to drive collaboration with regional commercial/product line and sourcing organizations when such needs arise.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Overall atleast 12 years of experience with 3+ years leadership experience with engineering teams working on Reciprocating Engine controls
- Program management experience
- Excellent communication skills in english
- Experience in larger organisations with global structures
- Excellent engineering background preferably in electrical engineering/systems engineering
- Knowledge of power generation equipment
