    TRAINING OPTIONS

    The theory courses for ground training are conducted in the campus by qualified instructors appointed specially for the four subjects. Students are regularly assessed with scheduled/surprise tests which are conducted by the institute from time to time.

    The coaching for ground training exams include regular classroom lectures that are followed up with assignment-sessions in the library for an in depth grasp of the subject.

    Apart from this, students are given a working knowledge of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation's exam practises, tips to crack the ground training papers and are made to appear for preliminary exams conducted regularly for the purpose.

    For flying training, the teaching methods include pre-flight briefings, post flight de-briefings, simulator training, advanced training using CDs and DVDs, corrective trainings, interactive teaching sessions and spot-exams.

    Apart from this, training practices are reviewed and revamped regularly by Chief Flying Instructor Dr Capt Yashraj Tongia, who is the overall incharge for quality of the training imparted by the institute.

    Large amount of waste is generated from use of paper including newsprint paper, writing paper which is to be used economically for manufacturing of polyurethane adhesive. Castor oil, ethylene glycol are easily available and cheap sources for P.U preparation. Alcohol with min two hydroxyl & Chemical having di-amine group is must. Preparation includes deinking, glycolysis, polyol preparation & finally adhesive preparation. Prepared adhesive has a good strength as commercial available adhesives.
