Job Description
** For a given project, float enquiries for Soil investigation, Topography survey and Environmental studies.
** Study the layout requirements of the project including area requirement for, main, auxiliary and balance of plant equipment, fuel storage, water storage, effluent storage, switchyard, green belt and future expansion requirements.
** Study the direction of all the inputs into and outputs out of the plant.
** Study the shape of the plot and work out a compact layout in consultation with superiors and the engineering consultant.
** Prepare the list of all the documents and drawings for preparing the documentation for various permits and clearances required for the project.
** Discuss with the engineering consultant and obtain these documents at an early date.
** In consultation with a civil design or structural consultant, work out the BOQ of various parts of the civil
** In consultation with superior and the engineering consultant float enquiries to various civil contractors, receive bids, seek clarifications and conduct meetings with contractors at a mutually acceptable location (at Head Office, Consultant's Office, Contractor's Office or at Site).
** Prepare separate technical and commercial comparative statements.
** Assist the management in finalising the contract, preparing LOI, draft Contract/ Purchase Order and release the same.
** Coordinate with Accounts Department for release of advance and follow-up payments at respective and agreed milestones.
** Coordinate and follow-up with contractor to ensure contract progress as per the agreed scope and time schedule and in line with the overall project schedule.
** Maintain all the contract documentation regarding supply of material and services rendered/ to be rendered by the contractor.
** Coordinate with site for safe, timely and sequential arrival of material.
** Follow-up and chase with the vendors to make good, any short supply.
** Prepare project schedules for civil activities for various projects pursued by KSK Group wherever you are involved.
** This schedule will include the specification preparation, tendering, clarification meetings and contract finalisation schedule.
** Follow the schedule strictly to achieve the target dates. After studying the project schedule, ensure timely actions for activities.
** Follow up and discuss remedial measures. Review it weekly / fortnightly and update the management on impact of various activities on main project schedule.
** Post conclusion of the civil contract, maintain activity chart for each civil contract for the respective projects and report status for action, periodically.
** Site action Report - Organize remedial measures for problems reported from site including problems related to design drawings, non-supply of material and other logistics difficulties.
** To issue letter to contractor informing of slippage, if any. Close monitoring is to be ensured.
** Periodic visits to site to assess progress and attend to site problems.
** To attend monthly project review meeting and formulate the action plan as recorded in the minutes of meeting.
** Study the impact on the project schedule and budget and inform the management immediately.
** Monitoring of consultant's work progress is to be recorded continuously.
** Maintain the date wise log-book drawing issue / release status.
** To be at site during any major civil activity as critical foundation concrete pouring etc. and check adequacy.
** Provide relevant information and assist the other departments in obtaining permits and clearances for the project.
** Be responsible for coordination with the engineering consultant for, on-time release of specifications, tender documents, release of drawings and approval of contractor/supplier submitted drawings or specifications.
** In consultation with the consultant and superiors, support the site for any road-block removal towards smooth implementation of the project in time and within the budget.
** Develop familiarity with Autocad and Project management softwares.

** Budget preparation.
** Review of actual expenses vs planned. Variance analysis.
** Revising the budget based on changing project schedule.
** Prepare monthly MIS and forward to management for review
** Verify the bills forwarded by the contractor for the work done and against site job completion / measurement certification and the contracted payment terms.
