What we need is a Project Manager who is involved in a project from start to finish i.e. initial project work like participating in selection of technology, selecting DECs, defining their scope, coordinate and brief DEC on Basic package, work with Project controls & planning team, work with Procurement team, conduct review meetings with DEC, client, project planning, procurement and construction teams, ensure project cost and schedule are not compromised, suggest actions or highlight to top management / client on how to over challenges, trouble shooting, coordinate with construction once engineering hands over to site, etc.
They are part of Project Management team. They lead the project task force i.e. representatives from different functions like Engg, Project planning, Procurement, construction, safety, Quality identified for a particular project
