    PIC is a family of Harvard architecture microcontrollers made by Microchip Technology, derived from the PIC1640 originally developed by General Instrument’s Microelectronics Division. The name PIC initially referred to “Programmable Interface Controller“.

    PICs are popular with both industrial developers and hobbyists alike due to their low cost, wide availability, large user base, extensive collection of application notes, availability of low cost or free development tools, and serial programming (and re-programming with flash memory) capability.
    Microchip announced on February 2008 the shipment of its six billionth PIC processor.

    Course Contents:
    * Introduction To PIC (RISC) microcontrollers(PIC16F73,PIC16F877)
    * Architectural Features and PIN detail of PIC microcontrollers
    * Programming in Embedded C and different Embedded C compilers.
    * Machine Code Burning Techniques and Softwares.
    * Hardware interfacing and Programming In embedded c of following External and On Chip Devices with PIC microcontrollers:
    1. Led (using PORTS as Output)
    2. Switch ( Using PORTS as input)
    3. Matrix keyboard
    4. Relay (To control Switching of AC devices e.g. Bulb,Fan, Heater etc.)
    5. Stepper Motor (Speed and Direction Control)
    6. DC motor (Speed and Direction Control)
    7. LCD Display System Seven segment display
    8. custom LCD character designing
    9. Digital to Analog converters I2C based Serial Real Time clock (DS1307)
    10. Serial communication b/w micro-controller and PC & b/w Two micro-controller
    11. Programming and Practical implementation Hardware and Software Interrupts PWM generation using on chip PWM generator and its practical implementation .
    12. Programming and Practical implementation of On chip Multichannel Analog to digital Converter (PIC16F73,PIC16F877)
    13. Interfacing Of Different types of Sensors.
    14. PIC Microcontroller based Project Development Design and Testing of PIC Microcontroller Evaluation Board
