Job Description
1. QA Manager will be responsible for managing the testing for the various products. this would include test planning at a higher level, planning for resources in terms of Engineers ,physical resources as well as time.
2. QA manager will plan and manage the testing done by the team to ensure the testing is holistic, meets the schedule and the resources are optimally used.
3. Responsible for defining the testing to be carried out âPerformance, Regression, Functional, Automation etc.
4. QA manager will coordinate and handle issues to ensure ease and efficiency of testing.
5. Coordinate with Engineering Managers for establishment of effective testing processes/procedures.
6. Manage the QA team âdelegate work, ensure information is made available in time, career development, goal setting and evaluation.
Implement, follow, and enforce QA methodology, process and standards and ensure they are followed by the team.
7. Ensure QA deliverables to be on time, on budget, and of suitable quality to mitigate risk for all projects and software releases
8. Establish and measure appropriate quality metrics for team performance.
9. Hire and manage staff for the QA team including performance reviews and career development activities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Degree in Computer Science or, or equivalent
2. 8-9 years of experience in software industry.
3. 6 years of experience in software testing and at least 2 years in managing testing teams.
4. Hands-on experience in web-based functional, performance, load, usability testing.
5. Proven experience in web development/testing projects with strong technical skills to evaluate the project quality
6. Excellent knowledge of QA methodologies, processes and procedures
7. Good working knowledge of various open source Software testing tools
8. Good working knowledge of destructive testing techniques.
